An expanded space is on the cards for the next edition of Spain’s leading trade event for functional ingredients, ‘novel foods’ and finished products, scheduled to take place at Barcelona’s CCIB again, on 6th and 7th March.
“After seven editions, it is clear that the sector is firmly behind Nutraceuticals, as the steady flow of space bookings demonstrates,” explains the show’s director, Esther Cano.
Valencia, 16th October 2023.- Nutraceuticals Europe Summit & Expo, Spain’s foremost trade event dedicated to functional ingredients, ‘novel foods’ and finished products, is working flat out on preparations for the upcoming edition, which takes place on 6th and 7th March, once again at the Barcelona International Convention Centre – CCIB.
The event combines an exhibition and an extensive programme of technical activities and lectures. With next year’s set to be the seventh edition of the event, it is now a clearly established industry fixture and is set to expand next year. The organisers in fact launched an ‘Early Booking’ campaign recently, which has been a resounding success, with exhibitors that decide to firm up on their bookings enjoying both financial benefits and advantageous stand locations.
In that sense, the response has been “a success”, according to the fair’s director,
Esther Cano, indicating that “as of today, the space we have available for the exhibition has almost all been booked and we already have the same number of exhibitors signed up as last time” which means, Cano says, that “we will need to expand the square footage given over to the exhibition so we can accommodate the new companies that are wanting to come on board”.
The last edition of Nutraceuticals Europe Summit & Expo, it should be remembered, filled up with a record 98 exhibitors from 12 countries that occupied an entire hall in the Barcelona International Convention Centre – CCCB. The event also drew more than 2200 professionals to visit, 20% up on the previous edition.
In light of the above, “prospects for the 2024 are very good”, according to event director Esther Cano. “Following seven editions of Nutraceuticals, it is clear that professionals want a forum such as this, where they can see the latest innovations on the market and talk to people who are currently the top specialists in the industry’s leading businesses”, she explains.
Taking all this into account the event, organised by Feria Valencia, will again consist of two sides: a commercial component – exhibitors – and an ambitious congress that is expected to reveal the innovations that will mark the way forward for the industry in the immediate future.
